SLEEP PARALYSIS
Sunday, October 26, 2014
So instead of just blogging about the normal days/outing of my life, I guess I should once in awhile blog about something else.. so, here it is. Just to sorta erm.. yeah.. IDKSo... (very awkward beggining for this post) Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon in which a person, either falling asleep or awakening, temporarily experiences an inability to move, speak or react via wikipedia. If you're close enough to me then you might have known, I had this at a very very young age, I was so young then I slept on the same bed as my mum. (No I dont sleep on my mum's bed after maybe 4 cause I've got younger siblings that needs more attention than I do.)
Something like this? ^
Honestly, there were many.. how do I put it? Rumours..?People used to say because a ghost or some kind are actually pressing you down, etc. And my aunt even told me that it was because there was a spider on the ceiling right on top of your body, causing your body to felt pressed down. Smtg like that. Out of my experience, hallucinations has gotta be real. You hear weird noices, see weird things. I recalled seeing a hand holding onto my arms from the side of the bed through the side of my eyes then. Woke up with a hand mark. But who knows, I was super young then.. sleeping alone in the room. Last few years, I was sleeping in my brother's room when I hear voices of ppl talking in languages I dont know. It differs almost everytime. Just about a month ago, I recall this weird experience of sitting up on my bed while struggling to wake up, but I woke up lying down. It happens only once in a blue moon as I grow up, I remember it happened quite a lot when I was younger. I couldnt sleep well since young, and I was really afraid of the dark, so I have this small orangie bulb ON everytime I sleep. I still have it now but I only ON it when I get really scared after the non-stop "experience" cause usually when it happens, you'll get it again as soon as you sleep again right after you wake up. So yeap, I usually sat on my bed for a few minutes before going back to sleep again. How should I say it.. Some research said it could be due to stress or lying straight. Well, I wouldnt disagree, but I havent had any stress at age 4 or 5 gua, and I had it lying sideway before too. But I agree because I realized as I grow up, if I was in stress, I get it more often than when I am stress free. And I wake up usually facing the whole room. But honestly, it was really terrifying.. just imagine.. you opened your eyes to see blurry stuffs and hears very weird noises, and you just cant move. I dont remember how I force myself up but it was quite hard. Cause you cant pinch yourself without your hand, and not moving at all when you want too. Like you lost your ability to move and you cant escape no matter how much energy you used.. Then, I came across this over some friend's blog. Sorry.. but.. you kidding me bro? I tried to.. once, just to almost die of panic. First of all, you aint gonna be calm when you have sleep paralysis. They said close your eyes and begin to dream.. I closed my eyes and pretended that Im sleeping with all these weird noises in my head and I suddenly remembered about "you control your own dreams." Worst shiat, I was in a state of panic, then I suddenly thought of what if I dream of something worst than this?! Not sure if that was the longest time I had during sleep paralysis but it was a stupid good try. But no matter how many times I had it, I am still afraid of it. I dont fear much by having faith in God, so yeah. Im fine with it. Lol. I dont know when it will truly stops but I dont mind so much now. There are a few things you can do to prevent it from recurring on the same night thou, stay awake for few minutes OR sleep with someone who you feel safe with. My mum works best when I was younger then. She was the only "cure" LOL. Not sure why, but I dream a lot. Even now. A lot a lot, sometimes my imaginations are so friggin weird I have stupid nightmares.. so stupid to the limit that a cat who kept following me around and want to manja with me non stop was scary. Yeap. I woke up relieved then huh? I guess Im still a dog person xD So yeah, end of the post yo ^^ God bless! Labels: blog, Nightmare, Sleep, Sleep paralysis |
